Smooth Skin at Any Age

Exercise to reduce wrinkles. Exercising delivers the skin what it needs to reverse the aging process.

Collagen is the Support System for Smooth Skin
Building lean muscle mass beneath the skin acts as a support system. Collagen is a fibrous connective tissue that bonds the skin and muscle together. Dr. Baumann’s studies determined that collagen diminishes by 1% every year after the age of twenty one. Exercising can help alleviate the wrinkling of skin by creating a stronger bond between skin and muscle.

Increased Blood Circulation Makes the Skin Smooth
Exercising reduces wrinkles by delivering important nutrients and oxygen to skin for revitalization through the circulatory system. Dr, Audrey Kunin, a Kansas City Dermatologist, supports this claim. Exercise increases the transport of healthy fats to cell walls preventing cell destruction caused by free radicals. More positive aspects include carrying away damaging waste material from the skin as well. A combination of aerobic and strength building exercises produces healthy skin. It all happens when you exercise to reduce wrinkles.

Exercise for Smooth Skin
The skin is the largest organ on the human body. As a person ages the epidermal cells become thinner. Exercising on a regular basis keeps pores open maintaining fresh and healthy skin. According to Heather Brannon M.D., “Exercise enhances the circulation process and sends blood to your skin. This is extremely helpful in preventing those dreadful wrinkles.”

Reduce Stress and Reduce Wrinkles
Stress is a major contributor for premature aging. When Cortisol, the stress hormone, levels soar it causes damage to healthy skin cells. Exercise such as Yoga facilitates a reduction in stress. More than 15 million U.S. adults practice yoga, according to a survey by Yoga Journal.

Proper Hydration Reduces Wrinkles
Proper hydration plays an important role in exercise and healthy skin. The body requires more hydration as activity levels increase. Water hydrates the skin and keeps it plumped and looking younger. Water helps transport important elements to the skin and removes toxins through sweat. The American College of Sports recommends that 16 ounces of water should be consumed 2 hours before engaging in any workout program.

There is a lot of evidence that proves exercise reduces wrinkles. You can look great at any age.

I don't believe that you're not hiding in the woods; you're young, but it is always good to start early. You'll be glad years down the road.
